Media Corp Variety Show ~ "It's a small world" 国记交意所

Starting 26th May, every Tuesday 8pm, Channel 8

Recently Channel 8 of Media Corps has launch a new and interesting variety show: "It's a small world" 国记交意所 in Chinese. The show is in a classroom setting where the participants are Mandarin speaking foreigners who act as students. They exchange their opinions and experiences that they had in different countries. They discuss on topics such as fashion, art and music, geography, policies, traditional practices, social phenomenons and such. It is amazing to see foreigners speaking such fluent Mandarin. We hope students of DJH Chinese Courses will find it as a motivation in learning Mandarin as well while enjoying the show.

Singapore is fast evolving into a metropolis.

MM Lee once said, the ideal target is a mixture of 60% homegrown talent and 40% foreign talent. Be it now or the future, there are many foreigners from different countries and backgrounds residing in Singapore for studies or work. Various countries’ languages and culture differences mean there will be many interesting experiences to be shared.
Through a light-hearted and humorous Talk Show, we showcase the differences in culture between foreigners and Singaporeans.

Mark Lee is a lecturer in an International Classroom and will have two humorous assistants to help out in sketches, demonstrations of ideas.
